Cisco Workplace Resources (WPR) manages a real estate portfolio of 400 buildings in 90 countries around the world, housing over 40,000 people in 16 Million square feet (over 360 acres of building space). WPR handles all real estate construction and leasing (over 80% of Cisco space is leased), and manages the design, planning, construction, sale and disposal of these properties. WPR also manages over 40 services in or around Cisco buildings, including physical safety and security. Their primary responsibility is to see that Cisco employees work in environments that support safety and productivity while controlling corporate costs.

Today's information workers are spending more time collaborating in groups and less time working alone. New networking and collaboration technologies, as well as new approaches to space design and management, can make collaboration easier and more productive. Cisco WPR and Cisco IT are finding that by combining forces, they can bring new levels of mobility and flexibility and collaboration capabilities to Cisco employees.
