"Rod and I were going to do a Website to update our families about our efforts to adopt a child from China. Then, I searched keywords like "china" and "adoption," and I found all these blogs where people were talking back and forth directly. So, we decided to launch one of our own. Since then, we've had over a million hits. We try to give people helpful information about adoption, make them smile or laugh and encourage them. We've met people from Australia, Scotland, Canada and Germany, and almost every state in the United States, whom we e-mail regularly. I also started organizing get-togethers for adoptive parents in the Bay Area. We have about 40 families in the group now. Originally, I thought we would just grit our teeth and go through this bureaucratic adoption process on our own. I never imagined we would end up 100% changed by this adoption process and by the response to our blog. And we're so thankful. Our family is growing in more ways than I could have imagined."
