This solution showcases Cisco Campus networking and includes L2 & L3 switching technologies. Layer 3 switching & redundancy, gigabit Ethernet, as well as ATM are used in this lab.
The focus for the design is on High Availability between MSFC's on the core 6509's, and also dual MSFC's. An L3 switching runs between the core and collapsed distribution/access layer, and a VTP domain is allocated to both the access switches (VTP-access) and core switches (VTP-core). The 3508 with a cluster of 3524's is brought into the core and are trunked and run STP. The whole campus network is cabled with GigE & GigEChannel over fiber.
