Description:
The IP/VC Field Lab demonstration is intended to highlight the Cisco videoconferencing infrastructure and H323 architecture.
A common concern when implementing video over IP is the ability to manage service and guarantee QOS. Enabling the MCM provides QOS and results in outstanding video quality. Cisco gives its customers the tools to properly manage their network, ensuring QOS for essential videoconferencing applications as well as maintaining the integrity for data traffic.
Point-to-point video calls over a Cisco IP network can be demonstrated. Three end-point devices are provided to demonstrate the multipoint application using the 3510. While the VCON endpoint can act as a broadcast source for IP/TV.
Cisco does not manufacture a video end-point device and does not have a preferred end-point vendor. The VCON escort is included in our field lab demo as a result of VCON's market leadership position in desktop IP videoconferencing. Also included is the Polycom ViewStation, which is the leading group videoconferencing system.
