Prasanto K Roy, Editor-in-Chief, Dataquest

Prasanto Kumar Roy is president and chief editor at CyberMedia Publications, publishers of Dataquest, PCQuest, and other leading IT publications magazines in India. He heads the ICT Publishing group of CyberMedia, which includes seven IT and telecom publications, both B2B and consumer.
A technology journalist, hands-on user and electronics enthusiast for over 20 years, Roy, 41, is a physics graduate from St Stephen’s College, and attended school at St Xavier’s, Delhi. He joined CyberMedia in 1990, as Dataquest’s assistant editor. In 1993 he moved to PCQuest as editor. Over the next six years, he started the PCQ Online electronic bulletin board, the Computers@Home monthly, CyberMedia Test Labs, and the PC Quest CD-ROMs, the latter two being firsts in Asia. From 1996-99 he was editor and head of the PC magazines group, comprising PCQuest, Computers@Home, and PCQ Labs. In 1999, he moved on to head the Dataquest and Voice&Data group, which then launched DQ Channels and various DQ Week newspaper editions.
Roy is actively interested in enterprise technology, mobile computing and telephony, the Internet, photography, reading and travel. He travels widely and lectures on a variety of subjects related to technology and media.
The 26-year-old CyberMedia, listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange, is India’s oldest infotech publisher, and South Asia’s largest specialty publishing house. It also includes IDC (India), CyberMedia Events, CyberMedia Dice, CIOL.com, among others.

Dr. Kamlesh Bajaj,
CEO, Data Security Council of India
CEO of the Data Security Council of India operating under the aegis of NASSCOM, Dr. Bajaj brings over 30 years of experience in various roles within the IT industry. Prior to joining Nasscom, he was Global Head (Information Risk Management and Managed Security Services), Global Consulting Practice, with TCS. He was also the Founder Director of Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), Ministry of Communications and IT. Dr Bajaj has been the Deputy Controller of Certifying Authorities, where he was responsible for establishing the techno-legal framework for key public infrastructure. He has also served as Deputy Director General, National Informatics Centre (NIC). Dr. Bajaj holds a Ph.D in Physics from McMaster University in Canada.

Susheela Venkataraman, Director, Internet Business Solutions Group, Cisco
Susheela Venkataraman is Director, Internet Business Solutions Group, responsible for strategy consulting for key clients of Cisco.
In about 25 years of consulting experience, Susheela has worked with clients in several industries, assisting them realize superior business performance, working with them in areas ranging from strategy through to implementation.
Prior to Cisco, Susheela was Director, IBM Global Business Services India and was leader, Financial Services and Financial Management practices. As Partner at Coopers & Lybrand / PricewaterhouseCoopers, she led several large scale enterprise transformation engagements with her clients. Key projects have included Strategic Process Redesign, Supply Chain Optimization, Organizational Performance Management, CRM Processes and Risk Management. A few clients she has worked with are Tata Steel, Bharat Petroleum, Bharti, Essar Steel and Canara Bank. Susheela was responsible for thought leadership and practice development.
After graduating from FMS, Susheela spent 8 years at International Computers Indian Manufacture (ICIM) in Systems. During this period, she was involved in end to end systems integration projects. She then spent 4.5 years at Digital Equipment India Limited, in a variety of roles, in enhancing the impact of technology.
Susheela holds a Master of Science in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University. She is working on her doctoral thesis on "the global strategies of emerging Indian multinationals".
Susheela is a Carnatic music vocalist and maintains a deep interest in photography, painting and spirituality. She enjoys visiting places and meeting people. She is a Trustee of SGBS Trust, a not-for-profit involved in holistic development of society. Her favourite project is Unnati which imparts vocational training to the underprivileged. As a Rotarian, she is involved in several projects for community and society.

Phaneesh Murthy, CEO, iGATE Corporation

Phaneesh Murthy took over as the CEO of iGATE Global in August 2003. At iGATE Global, he has pioneered the iTOPS (integrated technology and operations) model and been responsible for the turnaround in iGATE's fortunes over the last 4 years. He has also been responsible for the complete corporate and capital restructuring at iGATE.
During this period, iGATE has moved from the low end staffing business to high end iTOPS business model where iGATE charges its global clients on a transaction and output based pricing rather than the seat-based, hourly pricing model followed by the IT Industry in India.
Recently (from 1st April 2008), Phaneesh was appointed the CEO of iGATE Corp, the Nasdaq listed company.
Before iGATE, Phaneesh founded Quintant, a Business Services Provisioning company with a global services model, in 2002.
Phaneesh was formerly a member of the Board, Worldwide Head of Sales and Marketing, and Head of Communications and Product Solutions group for Infosys. He was responsible for ramping up Infosys from around $2mn in 1992 to around $700 mn in 10 years. Phaneesh has considerable expertise in growing large organizations, and putting in place the infrastructure to scale. He brings over a decade of experience in structuring and managing large outsourcing deals for Fortune 500 companies.
Phaneesh began his career in the product space in Sonata.
Phaneesh Murthy is a graduate of Indian Institute of Management (IIM-A), Ahmedabad and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Chennai.

Harish Agarwal, Associate Director, Advisory Services, Ernst & Young, iGATE Corporation

Harish is an Associate Director with Risk Advisory Services (Technology & Security Risk Services) at Ernst & Young, and he specializes in the areas of Application Controls review, Information System Security Reviews, SOx compliance assistance, etc. With a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Harish qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1996. Harish became a Certified Information Systems Auditor from Information Systems Audit & Control Association, USA in 2000, and a CFE in 2007.
Harish has over 11 years of IS risk management experience in industries such as IT, Media, Telecom, etc.
Harish is actively involved in providing training on IS audit at internal and external forums.

He is currently assisting a telecom major with IT audits across several locations in India. He is leading a team advising a telecom major on business continuity
In the recent past he led the EY India team assisting a large multinational comply with Section 404 of Sarbanes Oxley across its many entities in UK, Europe & India covering diverse IT environments consisting of mainframe, ERP, bespoke applications, etc. He is currently helping with rolling out a new audit documentation tool (GAMx) within EY India.
His key clients include Discovery Communications, UnitedHealth Group, Bharti Airtel, Sony Corp, Delphi Corp, ITC Limited, LG Electronics, Maruti Suzuki India, Vodafone Essar, Microsoft, Tata Communications.
