PIX-4FE-66: Cisco Systems introduced a new Fast Ethernet 100BASE-TX interface card for the Cisco PIX Security Appliances based on the higher performance 64-bit/66-MHz PCI bus. The new card provides four 100BASE-TX ports, increased performance, and deployment flexibility on modular Cisco PIX Security Appliances. It is supported by the latest maintenance releases of all current Cisco PIX OS trains, namely versions 5.2(9), 6.0(4), 6.1(4), 6.2(2) and 6.3(1) or later.

PIX-FDDI -End Of Sale
Fiber Distributed Data Interface for PIX is EOS/EOL. The recommended upgrade path for the FDDI is Gigabit Ethernet. These interfaces offer greater performance at a comparable price point. 32-bit, 33-MHz Gigabit Ethernet interfaces are supported in the PIX 520 and 525 just as FDDI. In addition, the PIX 535 uses a higher-performance 64-bit, 66-MHz Gigabit Ethernet interface, providing up to 1 Gbps of throughput.

PIX-VPN-ACCEL / PIX-VAC-PLUS
PIX-VPN-ACCEL: The PIX VAC offers standards-based IP Security (IPsec) VPN and encrypts data using the 56-bit Data Encryption Standard (DES) or 168-bit Triple DES (3DES) algorithms. In addition, the PIX VAC can offer 168-bit 3DES IPsec VPN throughput at 100 Mbps and Simultaneous VPN tunnels upto 2,000. The PIX VAC is supported on PIX 515, 520, 525, and 535 platforms.
