Speed dialing is a standard Cisco Unified Communications Manager function and is supported on the Cisco TelePresence IP phone. The speed-dial list associated with the Cisco TelePresence IP phone enables phone numbers to be readily accessed and meetings to be quickly connected from the manual call user interface. However, unlike most Cisco Unified IP phones, which allow 99 speed-dial numbers to be entered, the Cisco TelePresence IP phone user interface accepts only 40 phone numbers (numbered from 3 to 42 in the Cisco Unified Communications Manager Speed Dial and Abbreviated Dial Configuration window).
Adding Speed-Dial Numbers
Step 1 Log into the Cisco Unified Communications Manager Administration application. Choose Device > Phone to open the Phone Configuration window.
Step 2 From the Phone Configuration window, enter your search criteria and click Find. Choose the phone for which you want to configure speed-dial buttons.
Step 3 Choose Add/Update Speed Dials from the Related Links drop-down list box at the top of the window and click Go.
The Speed Dial and Abbreviated Dial Configuration window for this phone appears.
Step 4 Enter the appropriate settings as described in Table 3-1.
