Este documento mostra como determinar os números de série de vários componentes substituíveis em vários switches Cisco Catalyst. Os números de série são necessários para criar um banco de dados dos componentes na rede. Ao criar uma solicitação de serviço ao Suporte Técnico da Cisco, você deverá ter em mãos os números de série dos dispositivos afetados. Esse requisito, em especial, é o caso de quando se necessita de uma peça de reposição ou de uma autorização de devolução de materiais (RMA).
Nota:Os números de série dos Cisco Catalyst Switches não podem ser modificados. Para fins de gerenciamento, você pode configurar os Cisco Catalyst Switches que executam o Cisco IOS® software para retornar uma string personalizada. Para criar uma string personalizada, execute o comando snmp-server chassis-id no modo de configuração global.

Catalyst OS (CatOS) no Supervisor Engine e Cisco IOS® Software na MSFC (híbrido): É possível usar uma imagem CatOS como o Software do sistema para executar o Mecanismo supervisor nos Switches Catalyst 6500/6000. Se você instalou a MSFC (Multilayer Switch Feature Card) opcional, use uma imagem separada do Cisco IOS Software para executar a MSFC.

Os switches Catalyst 6500/6000 podem executar o software do sistema CatOS no Supervisor Engine e no Cisco IOS Software no MSFC. Ou os switches podem executar o Cisco IOS System Software, com um pacote de software para o Supervisor Engine e o MSFC.

Observação: se o número de série da fonte de alimentação não estiver visível na saída do comando show version, emita o comando show sprom powersupply {1 comando | 2}.
Para localizar o número de série dos adaptadores de porta que estão conectados ao módulo Flex WAN, execute o comando show diagbus na interface de linha de comando (CLI) da MSFC, como mostrado neste exemplo:

Nota:Use o comando show diag no Route Switch Module (RSM) com Versatile Interface Processor (VIP) (WS-X5304=) para localizar o número de série dos adaptadores de porta.
O Catalyst 4000 com o número de série do chassi do Supervisor Engine I no Catalyst 4003, 2948G e 2980G não é legível através de um comando CLI. O número de série exibido na saída do comando show version no exemplo desta seção pertence ao Supervisor Engine. O número de série real é exibido em um adesivo na parte externa do chassi. Para localizar as etiquetas físicas de número de série no seu dispositivo, consulte a Ferramenta de Identificação de Produto da Cisco (somente clientes registrados) .

No Catalyst 4500/4000 Supervisor 2, o número de série do chassi está disponível via CLI nas versões 5.5(10), 6.3(2) e posteriores. Em versões anteriores, o comando show version mostra o número de série do Supervisor Engine em vez do número de série do chassi. Para obter o número de série do chassi nessas versões anteriores, verifique a etiqueta externa no chassi. Para localizar as etiquetas físicas de número de série no seu dispositivo, consulte a Ferramenta de Identificação de Produto da Cisco (somente clientes registrados) .
