What is the Digital Trust Label?
The Digital Trust Label is a certification awarded by the Swiss Digital Initiative. It is a seal of approval that tests and certifies the trustworthiness of digital services. The label is awarded when a service provider meets 35 technical criteria in the following 4 categories:
✓ Security: Data must be encrypted during transmission so that third parties cannot view it.
✓ Data protection: Responsibility is assumed for the appropriate management of data.
✓ Reliability: All necessary measures to ensure the continuity of the application are taken.
✓ Fair interaction with users: It is ensured that all users are treated equally and that there is no data-based service or price discrimination.
Why is the award of the Digital Trust Label an advantage for you as a Webex user?
During the testing process, Webex was put through its paces in the forementioned categories of security, data protection, reliability, and fair user interaction. A label catalog was used, which the independent non-profit organization "Swiss Digital Initiative" developed together with its main partner "EPFL", leading experts and public consultations with civil society. The Cisco Webex Suite (Cloud) has successfully passed this comprehensive audit. The certification of Webex with the Digital Trust Label is thus a proof that Webex by Cisco is a trusted provider of digital services.
The certificate is valid from 02/17/2023 to 02/17/2026. The validity of the certificate is ensured by annual surveillance audits. This means that the Cisco Webex Suite is continuously monitored and checked for security risks. Through regular audits, security vulnerabilities can be quickly identified and fixed to ensure user data security.
