After the first day sessions, we would like to invite you to our evening event at a unique historical industrial place of old waste water treatment plant, where you will have the opportunity to build direct relationships with our executives and technical leaders.
System Engineer Director , EMEAR Central
Date: Wednesday, 15 July 2015
Place: Museum „Stará Čistírna“ (Old Waste Water Treatment Plant)
Address: Papírenská 6, Prague 6
The evening event will provide the opportunity to meet your colleagues in relaxing atmosphere with dinner food and drinks. Please join us for this casual social gathering in unique premises of the historical Prague waste water treatment plant. This unusual venue lies in a charming location, right on the Vltava River bank, and it is a remarkable example of industrial innovation of the beginning of 20th century.
We invite you to admire well-preserved historical premises of the museum including parts of original technologies for waste water treatment and connected operations (such as sludge management). During the evening you will have an opportunity to visit the underground spaces of the plant, which are often used by movie productions for their unique atmosphere. And you will see the original plant steam engines in operation.
Remark for the curious ones: No, there is no smell or dirt involved in any part of the plant facility.
The Old waste water treatment plant in Prague Bubeneč is an important building reminding of architecture, technique and water management history. It was built between the years 1901 – 1906 as the last part of Prague sewer network. It was in use until 1967 when a new-built modern Central waste treatment plant (situated on Cisarsky island near the original location of the Old waste water treatment plant) was put into operation. The sewer system and technical parameters of the Old waste water treatment plant were projected by a British civil engineer, Mr. William Heerlein Lindley.
