이 컨피그레이션은 4500 Series 라우터에서 Cisco IOS Software 릴리스 12.2(10b)를 사용하여 테스트되었습니다. 유사한 라우터 토폴로지 또는 기타 Cisco IOS 릴리스에도 동일한 컨피그레이션 개념이 적용됩니다.

인터페이스 루프백 0은 실패하지 않도록 구성되며, IP unnumbered 루프백 0은 동일한 IP 주소를 가진 5개 이상의 직렬 인터페이스의 번들링을 향상시킵니다.

모든 직렬 인터페이스가 작동되고 사용자 트래픽이 전송될 때 멀티링크 PPP는 가상 액세스 인터페이스를 만들고 PPP 협상이 이루어집니다. 이 가상 액세스 인터페이스의 컨피그레이션은 가상 템플릿에서 복제됩니다. 작동 중인 직렬 인터페이스의 수는 이 가상 액세스 인터페이스에 번들로 제공되며 총 대역폭이 생성됩니다.
