CLEUR in numbers
- We hosted 18,000 attendees at the Fira Gran Via conference centre in Barcelona
- Online, we tripled our numbers from last year with 200,000+ live viewers on www.ciscolive.com and cisco.com homepages, watching an average of 20 minutes
- Our first ever Master Series (22 sessions with only elite speakers and exclusively online) attracted over 600,000 viewers and the top 5,000 viewers watched over 26 minutes on average
- Our experiential demos in the 'Park' were a big hit, with the infamous 'Rainwall' showcasing Cisco’s commitment to activities to impact 1 Billion lives by 2025 (we're at 445 Million lives and counting, in case you were wondering, more information on that here), being the most popular attraction
And we threw out a little party at the end with some guests on stage with Nile Rogers and Chic!
Small Business at CLEUR
Those of you who were at CLEUR will have enjoyed non-stop events that included talks, awards, and exciting new product insights. For small business, we also saw expert panels, including a customer panel on how Cisco technologies can help growing SMBs scale quickly, while staying secure and connected; an innovation showcase featuring speakers from Cisco, including Sarah Eccleston, managing director and global CTO, commercial and small business; along with small business breakout sessions on 'Small Business is Mighty!' and 'A Day in the Office - A Small Business Overview'.
She described Cisco Designed as having the right level of simplicity, the right price, the right products, the right feature set, and the right level of complexity.
Cisco Live also saw Hema Marshall, director of small business Cisco UK and Ireland, and Richard Oliver, senior manager, IT software defined networking and cloud, discussing the importance of Cisco Designed. In a session entitled, Think You know Cisco Small Business? Think again!, the two experts discussed the growth of small businesses and how such organisations can benefit from a dedicated technology stack designed specifically with SMBs in mind. The panel also explored the benefits of working with a service provider or partner for small businesses, noting that this can bring further expertise into an organisation when it comes to finding technology solutions to achieve desired outcomes.
During Cisco Live this year we presented a wide variety of technologies to our community, including exciting new technology in networking, security, computing and collaboration. Our networking technology included additions to Meraki Go, Meraki Vision (lower end boxes), FindIT, and SmartAccount automation set up, while our security technology showcased enhancements to Anyconnect, DUO, Umbrella, and ASA/Firepower.
When it comes to Compute, our community got to learn about additions to Hyperflex Edge, UCS, and Intersight, and our Collaborate enhancements showcased at Cisco Live include Webex, Webex Teams, and Video Eps.
This year our aim was to take delegates on a digital journey and change the world of small business, with a little help from technology. Our SMB attendees enjoyed a wide range of inspiring sessions to learn from, as well as networking with our massive partner community, who make up 40 per cent of delegates at Cisco Live. This gave customers from all over the continent the opportunity to meet with local partners who can offer expertise in your industry and guidance on your digital growth.
And for those of you who were feeling inspired to take on a challenge, Cisco Live saw an escape room challenge like no other! Delegates were given a three-part puzzle to solve that involved beating the clock, cracking codes and growing a business from 0-200 employees through the decades.
The escape room was designed to offer small businesses insight into Cisco technologies that can scale with their business as it grows. Our winning team took home a Meraki Go access point, as well as a significant number of pats on the back and a large group of new friends.
For any of you who missed Cisco Live, if you feel like a trip to Sin City, our next Cisco Live event will be held in Las Vegas from 31st May to 4th June. (Needs to be changed to digital)
Here you’ll be able to take part in our Meet The Expert programme, which gives you the opportunity to sit down with a Cisco expert for a one-to-one conversation on topics ranging from solutions design and deployment to troubleshooting to strategy.
For those of you who prefer to stay on terra firma, be sure to keep abreast of our upcoming events and also stay up to date with all our Cisco resources and our Cisco Designed portfolio—created to help you stay at the leading edge of the small business world.
