Saravanan is a Distinguished Engineer who drives several initiatives and provides the architecture, product and technology direction to secure the enterprise, by leveraging the power of the network to implement end to end security. He also drives security focussed innovations across the highly profitable catalyst switching, SDWAN and wireless portfolio.

He is also an industry expert in enterprise security, working on some of the recent industry initiatives like Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) etc. His expertise is in the enterprise networking domain that includes transformative technology like Software Defined WAN (SDWAN).

He is a lead investigator in Cisco’s award-winning encrypted traffic analytics. His current research and development interests besides enterprise security includes LiFi and machine learning. Saravanan has 14 patents to his name.

Saravanan holds a B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from College of Engineering, Guindy, Chennai and an M.S. in Computer Science and Engineering (with Honours) from University of Kansas in Lawrence (USA).
