Cisco Demo Solutions Program

The Cisco Demo Solutions Program is now open to channel partners across the Asia Pacific region. Learning from the successes and challenge of offering individual models to partners, we have put together a program designed to get you out of the lab and in front of your customers!

Program Objectives

The goals of this program are to:

  • Enable partners to effectively demonstrate Cisco solutions
  • Enable partners to effectively demonstrate their sales and technical capabilities
  • Help accelerate the sales cycle to increase revenue with SMB and Mid-Market customers
Program Offerings

Proven as a valuable deal-closing method for channel partners, these DemoBoxes can be purchased using Not-for-Resale (NFR) discounts* for the Cisco components:

Note: All third-party, non-Cisco components are not included in the DemoBoxes and must be purchased separately.

The Demo Solutions Program allows you to:

  • Accelerate the sales cycle
    Improve deal-closure rate by as much as 50 percent and increase revenue from customers by giving relevant, live demonstrations – not developing them. The DemoBox helps you get in front of your customers sooner and as a result, impact revenues sooner.

    Gain a better, hands-on, understanding of a complete Cisco solution with the DemoBox as a training tool. The DemoBox also serves as a demonstration platform over which you can layer applications that differentiate your expertise, services, and industry focus.

    Eligible partners can acquire DemoBoxes at substantially reduced, NFR pricing*. Now, your company can afford to get the maximum number of feet on the street demonstrating Cisco Advanced Technology solutions – maximizing sales while controlling costs and avoiding technology obsolescence.

Cisco Registered Partners in Asia Pacific with at least one of the following certifications: Gold, Silver, Premier or Select.

Demo Solution Process Flow

1. Register to Participate

Step 1: Register intent to purchase Demo Solutions

  • Go to
  • Follow the simple instructions for your DemoBox number. Keep that number! You will use it throughout the process and when seeking support once you have received your DemoBox.
  • Once registration is completed, you will receive an e-mail notification with the Quick Start Guide.

Step 2: Register for the Not-for-Resale (NFR) Program

  • Log in to PDR using your user ID and password. (If you do not have a user ID and password: Apply for one here.)
  • Enter your general information.
  • Click “Promotion” and complete the promotion questionnaire.

Note: No qualification approval is required.

2. Purchase What You Need

Step 3: Create a quote

  • Upload the Bill of Material (BOM) in PDR.
  • Edit the BOM and select “Fulfillment path”.
  • View pricing and submit for approval.
  • Upon approval, you will receive an e-mail notification with a Deal ID.

Step 4: Review and submit NFR deal for Cisco approval

  • Review your final deal and configuration to ensure all information is correct.
  • Click “Submit for Approval”.
  • Upon approval, you will receive an e-mail notification with your Deal ID and Dart IDs for all lines fulfilled by Distribution.

Note: All deals are to be approved by the relevant Channel Account Manager (CAM) and PDR team. In some cases, the approval by a Cisco Channel System Engineer (CSE) will be required. You can only place your Direct or Indirect (with Distributors) order once your deal is fully approved by Cisco.

Step 5: Place your order for Cisco products

For Direct orders with Cisco:

  • Go to the online Cisco Ordering Tool to create an order.
  • Click “Standard Order” and complete all the required fields.
  • Enter your Deal ID (mandatory field).

Note: Your order must be placed before the deal expires! Expiration e-mail notices will arrive 14 and 4 days prior to expiration. To request for an extension, subject to Cisco’s approval, go to Deal Details in PDR.

For Indirect orders with Distributors:

  • Place your order by providing the Distributor your Deal ID and Dart IDs.

Note: For India, Dart IDs are not applicable. Only your Deal ID is required.

Step 6:  Place your order for image disc

  • Go to
  • Click “Collateral Store” (You’ll be prompted to enter your user ID and password.)
  • Click “Marketing Collateral”.
  • Click “Partner Enablement Collateral”.
  • Select the part number of the relevant Demo Solution and place your order.

3.  Get It Up and Running

Step 7:  Assemble, configure and demonstrate

  • Gather the items in the BOM, and the Quick Start Guide, Assembly Guide and Getting Started Guide from the image disk to get your DemoBox ready for your first demo.
  • Add third-party applications and demonstrate your complete value as a solution provider.
  • Look for e-mails from the Demo Solutions program with updates and additions for your DemoBox.
