Cisco Connect UAE 2015 Will Bring Together Regional Technology and Business Decision Makers to Drive Technology Agenda

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates - 28 January 2015 - Cisco announced today that its flagship technology event Cisco Connect 2015 UAE will return to the UAE, hosted by Cisco and its key strategic partners, on 18-19 February 2015 at Atlantis the Palm Hotel, in Dubai.

Themed, "Connecting the Unconnected", Cisco Connect 2015 UAE will offer an unparalleled opportunity for attendees to network, share knowledge, and drive the technology agenda for the region's public and private sectors.

The event will bring together over 1,200 regional business and technology leaders, decision makers, practitioners, customers, media representatives, and industry experts to discuss and showcase the latest technology trends, solutions, and innovations in data center and cloud, security, networking, video collaboration, and the Internet of Things/Internet of Everything.

The flagship event will include a distinguished lineup of senior Cisco and industry keynote speakers, with topics including how the Internet of Things (IoT)/Internet of Everything (IoE) is driving changes in ICT, delivering business benefits, and improving the daily lives of citizens, as well as aligning with Dubai's Smart City vision.

Visitors to Cisco Connect UAE 2015 will once again have an opportunity to experience the "World of Solutions" which is an interactive exhibition area that incorporates product and technology demonstrations and cutting-edge solutions from Cisco and its partners. This year's event boasts 24 partner stands and over 80 sqm of Cisco demonstrations where leading engineers will be on hand to provide advice and guidance to help attendees optimize their network infrastructures.

Cisco predicts that the IoE - the linking of people, process, data, and things - is creating new capabilities, richer experiences, and economic opportunities, with 500 billion connected devices by 2030. Several technology transitions - including the Internet of Things, increased mobility, cloud computing, and the growing importance of big data and analytics, among others - are combining to enable IoE.

Driven by Dubai Smart City, Dubai's public and private sectors can achieve a potential AED 17.9 billion (USD 4.87 billion) in value by 2019.

The IoE will create value by lowering costs, improving employee productivity, generating new revenue, and enhancing citizen benefits. In the private sector, additional benefits include improvements in innovation, supply chain and asset utilization.

Attendees at Cisco Connect UAE 2105 will also benefit from technology presentations and 25 breakout sessions led by Cisco subject matter experts. Sessions will embrace key technology topics such as data center, cloud, collaboration, mobility, video, and security.

Attendees will be able to take away a clear and enhanced understanding, relevant and actionable for their role, of the challenges and opportunities in the market, and how Cisco's IT solutions can underpin growth, efficiencies, competitiveness, and profitability for UAE businesses.

Visitors will also be able to participate in Cisco partner showcases and joint-design workshops exploring practices, challenges, and new developments for attendees to support their businesses with forward-thinking IT planning. At partner stands, leading engineers will provide advice and guidance on optimizing network infrastructure.

Rabih Dabboussi, General Manager, Cisco UAE
"It is a great opportunity for Cisco in the UAE to be hosting Cisco Connect once again following its successful launch in 2013. The UAE is rapidly evolving as one of the leaders globally in the Internet of Everything (IoE) age - an era where interconnectedness will deliver incredible beneficial changes to all areas of everyday life, from social infrastructure, transportation and public services to healthcare and education, hence the importance of hosting such forums. We are confident that this year's Cisco Connect agenda and the networking opportunities created will once again provide a real platform for thought leadership, technology architecture, and the role of innovation to address the current and future ICT environment, not only in the UAE but also throughout the Middle East region."

Cisco Connect UAE 2015 is a registration-only event.
