Cisco Spaces: Connector VM on OpenShift Platform

Connector VM on OpenShift Platform

A Cisco Spaces: Connector is deployed as a virtual machine to establish communication between the on-premises network infrastructure and Cisco Spaces. On OpenShift, the Connector VM is created from a QCOW2 image uploaded as a bootable volume. The VM must have sufficient storage, an appropriate instance type, and the required network interface to communicate with the required network services and Cisco Spaces.

This task describes how to upload the QCOW2 image, provision the Connector VM on OpenShift, and complete the Day-0 setup.

Deploy a Connector VM on the OpenShift Platform

Use this procedure to create a bootable volume, provision a Connector VM, and complete the initial Connector configuration.

The Connector VM requires a bootable volume with a minimum disk size of 120 GB and an appropriate network interface.

Before you begin

Ensure that the OpenShift Platform is installed and operating properly.

Obtain the QCOW2 image for the Connector VM.

To Bring up a Connector VM on OpenShift Platform follow the below steps:
