Configuring and Viewing Syslogs
You are reading: Troubleshooting Your Device > Configuring and Viewing Syslogs
On the Troubleshooting > Syslog > Config Syslog page, click Add.
Specify the IP address of the server to which you want to send message logs..
From the Syslog Level drop-down list, choose the kind of messages, by severity level, to be sent to the syslog server. The default is Informational and lower.
From the Message Console Level drop-down list, choose the severity level for the messages you want sent to the device console.
From the Message Buffer Level drop-down list, choose the severity level for the messages you want sent to the internal buffer on the device.
To generate syslogs for the running configuration in the Web UI, click Generate logs with running-config. The generated file name, the date and the time stamp for the file are displayed.
To download the generated syslog file for the Web UI, click Download Logs.
