Creating an Enterprise Wireless Network
In the Wireless Management Settings section, enter the management VLAN ID for the wireless network. Enter the VLAN IP address and subnet mask.
Enter an AP country code to assign the radio in your access point to a particular country of operation. Configuring a country code ensures that each radio’s broadcast frequency bands, interfaces, channels, and transmit power levels are compliant with country-specific regulations.
(Optional) Enter the IP address of the DHCP server you want to use to assign IP addresses to wireless clients.
In the Mobility Role field, choose if you want your device to work as a mobility agent or a mobility controller. If you choose Mobility Agent, specify the IP address of the mobility controller.
Type a unique name for your network, in the Network SSID field. The network name can be an alphanumeric value of up to 32 characters.
Choose a security level to associate with your wireless network. If you are a home or small business user, choose WPA2 Personal. WPA2 Enterprise requires an authentication server and a username and password.
Enter the IP address of the server you want to use to authenticate access to your wireless network.
Enter the shared secret text string to encrypt passwords and exchange responses between the authentication server and your device. Confirm the shared secret text.
Choose either a Management VLAN to assign to the WLAN, or assign a new VLAN. Enter the VLAN ID, the IP address for the new VLAN, and the subnet mask for the VLAN IP address.
