Ethernet

The Configuration > Interface > Ethernet page displays a list of Ethernet interfaces and their details that are configured for the device.

Editing Ethernet Settings

1. On the Configuration > Interface > Ethernet page, click the interface name.
2. In the Configure Interface Ethernet window that is displayed, you can edit the following settings:
   1. General Settings

      1. Enter a description for the Ethernet interface.
      2. To enable the interface on the devices, set the Admin Status as Up.
      3. Use the slider to enable Layer 3 address.
      4. From the Switchport Mode drop-down list, choose one of the modes.
      5. In the Allowed VLAN field, select All VLANs or specify VLAN IDs.
      6. From the Native Vlan drop-down list, choose the native VLAN.
      7. Click Update & Apply to Device.
   2. Advanced

      1. In the Access Lists section, choose the IPv4 and IPv6 outbound and inbound ACLs to apply to ingress and egress traffic on the interface.
      2. In the DHCP Relay section, use the slider to enable Relay Information and DHCP Snooping Trust.
      3. In the Policy Management section, choose an Auto QoS policy for the Ethernet interface:
         • classify - police—Generates a QoS configuration for untrusted interfaces. The configuration places a service-policy on the interface to classify traffic coming from untrusted desktops/devices and mark them accordingly. The service-policies generated do police.
         • trust-cos—Class of service.
         • trust-dscp—Differentiated service code point.
         • video cts—A port connected to a Cisco Telepresence system. QoS labels of incoming packets are only trusted (conditional trust through CDP) when a Cisco TelePresence is detected.
         • video ip-camera—A port connected to a Cisco video surveillance camera. QoS labels of incoming packets are only trusted (conditional trust through CDP) when a Cisco camera is detected.
         • video media-player—A port connected to a CDP-capable Cisco digital media player. QoS labels of incoming packets are only trusted (conditional trust through CDP) when a digital media player is detected.
         • voip cisco-phone—If the port is connected to a Cisco IP Phone, the QoS labels of incoming packets are only trusted (conditional trust through CDP) when the telephone is detected.

         • voip trust
      4. From the Interface Template drop-down list, choose a template for the interface.
      5. From the Input User Defined QoS drop-down list, choose a QoS policy to apply to the interface. This QoS policy is defined on the Configuration > Wireless > QoS Wireless page.
      6. From the Output User Defined QoS drop-down list, choose a QoS policy to apply to the interface. This QoS policy is defined on the Configuration > Wireless > QoS Wireless page.
      7. Click Update & Apply to Device.
   Creating VRF-Lite

   1. On the Configuration > Interface > Ethernet page, click Create VRF-Lite.
   2. In the Create VRF-Litewindow that is displayed, select IPv4, IPv6, or IPV4/IPV6.
   3. Enter the VRF name.
   4. Enter the Route Distinguisher. Enter an AS number.
   5. Enter the import and export route target. Enter an AS system number.
   6. Click Apply to Device.
