Bias-Free Language

The documentation set for this product strives to use bias-free language. For the purposes of this documentation set, bias-free is defined as language that does not imply discrimination based on age, disability, gender, racial identity, ethnic identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and intersectionality. About Access Points

In a CAPWAP environment, an access point (AP) discovers a device by using CAPWAP discovery mechanisms, and then sends a CAPWAP join request to the device. The device sends a CAPWAP join response to the access point that allows the AP to join the device.

When the AP joins the device, the device manages its configuration, firmware, control transactions, and data transactions.
