Bias-Free Language

The documentation set for this product strives to use bias-free language. For the purposes of this documentation set, bias-free is defined as language that does not imply discrimination based on age, disability, gender, racial identity, ethnic identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and intersectionality. Exceptions may be present in the documentation due to language that is hardcoded in the user interfaces of the product software, language used based on RFP documentation, or language that is used by a referenced third-party product. Configuring Rogue AP Rules

Configuring Rogue AP Rules

On the Services > Security > Wireless Protection Policies > Rogue AP Rules page you can add new rogue AP rules, and edit existing rules:

ClosedConfigure New Rogue AP Rules
  1. On the Rogue AP Rules page, click Add.
  2. Enter a name for the new rule. Ensure that the name does not contain any spaces.
  3. From the Rule Type drop-down list, choose from the following options to classify rogue access points matching this rule as friendly or malicious:
  • Friendly
  • Malicious
  1. Click Done.
ClosedModify Existing Rogue AP Rules
  1. On the Rogue AP Rules page, select the rule you want to modify. Details of the rule are displayed in the Edit Rule section.
  2. From the Rule Type drop-down list, choose from the following options to classify rogue access points matching this rule as friendly or malicious:
  • Friendly
  • Malicious
  1. In the Match Operation field, choose one of the following match criterion:
  • All—If this rule is enabled, a detected rogue access point must meet all of the conditions specified by the rule in order for the rule to be matched and the rogue to adopt the classification type of the rule.
  • Any—(Default) If this rule is enabled, a detected rogue access point must meet any of the conditions specified by the rule in order for the rule to be matched and the rogue to adopt the classification type of the rule.
  1. From the Add Condition drop-down list, choose the condition you want to apply to the rule.
  2. Click Done.
