Bias-Free Language

The documentation set for this product strives to use bias-free language. For the purposes of this documentation set, bias-free is defined as language that does not imply discrimination based on age, disability, gender, racial identity, ethnic identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and intersectionality. Exceptions may be present in the documentation due to language that is hardcoded in the user interfaces of the product software, language used based on RFP documentation, or language that is used by a referenced third-party product. Configuring General Settings for Physical Interfaces

On the Configure > Interface > Physical Interfaces page, the Physical Interface list displays all the interfaces on your device.

To configure settings for a physical interface, select the interface in the list. The Physical Interface Details section is displayed.
On the General page, enter a description for the selected interface.
Choose 10 MB, 100 MB, or 1000 MB as the interface speed, from the Speed drop-down list. Choose auto to auto-negotiate the interface speed, and allow communicating ports to decide the optimum speed for transmission.
Choose full, half, or auto from the Duplex drop-down list. Choose auto to auto-negotiate the interface mode, and allow communicating ports to decide the optimum mode for data transmission.
To enable the interface on the device, set the Status field to up.
Click Apply.
