Configuring General Settings for Physical Interfaces
On the Configure > Interface > Physical Interfaces page, the Physical Interface list displays all the interfaces on your device.
To configure settings for a physical interface, select the interface in the list. The Physical Interface Details section is displayed.
On the General page, enter a description for the selected interface.
Choose 10 MB, 100 MB, or 1000 MB as the interface speed, from the Speed drop-down list. Choose auto to auto-negotiate the interface speed, and allow communicating ports to decide the optimum speed for transmission.
Choose full, half, or auto from the Duplex drop-down list. Choose auto to auto-negotiate the interface mode, and allow communicating ports to decide the optimum mode for data transmission.
To enable the interface on the device, set the Status field to up.
