Bias-Free Language

The documentation set for this product strives to use bias-free language. For the purposes of this documentation set, bias-free is defined as language that does not imply discrimination based on age, disability, gender, racial identity, ethnic identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and intersectionality. Exceptions may be present in the documentation due to language that is hardcoded in the user interfaces of the product software, language used based on RFP documentation, or language that is used by a referenced third-party product. Understanding the Dashboard

The Dashboard displays a snapshot of the overall status and statistics for your device. The time stamp associated with each section indicates the recent device status information and statistics.

You can choose to view and monitor selected dashlets on the dashboard. You have the option to expand or collapse the dashlets. The collapsed dashlet sits as an icon on the dashboard. Click the respective icon to expand it.

The dashboard displays the following dashlets:

ClosedSystem Information

Displays system information such as hostname, device uptime, system time, device type, appliance temperature details, boot image, FIPS mode, last reload reason, last configuration change, and redundancy mode.

ClosedWireless Networks

Displays the number of WLANs, connected clients, detected rogue access points, and interferers on the network.

ClosedAccess Points

Displays the status for access points as a chart and a graph.

ClosedClient Device Types

Displays the connected clients, categorized by device type.

ClosedTop WLANs

Displays the top 10 WLANs associated to clients.

Choose one of the following options from the Sort by drop-down list:

  • WLANs with Highest Client Count- WLANs with the highest client count is displayed on the top.
  • WLANs with Lowest Client Count- WLANs with the lowest client count is displayed on the top.
  • WLANs with Highest Data Usage- WLANs with the highest data usage is displayed on the top.
  • WLANs with Lowest Data Usage- WLANs with the lowest data usage is displayed on the top.

Note: Click to view the Top WLANs in chart view. Click to clear the data usage.

ClosedTop Access Points

Displays the top 10 APs associated to clients.

Note: The AP MAC column displays the Radio MAC address of the AP.

Choose one of the following options from the Sort by drop-down list:

  • APs with Highest Client Count- APs with the highest client count is displayed on the top.
  • APs with Lowest Client Count- APs with the lowest client count is displayed on the top.
  • APs with Highest Data Usage- APs with the highest data usage is displayed on the top.
  • APs with Lowest Data Usage- APs with the lowest data usage is displayed on the top.
  • APs with Highest Throughput- APs with the highest throughput is displayed on the top.
  • APs with Lowest Throughput- APs with the lowest throughput is displayed on the top.

Note: Click to view the Top APs in chart view. Click to clear the data usage and throughput.

ClosedCustomize Dashboard
  1. Click to customize the dashboard and organize the dashlets to suit your requirements.

    The Customize Dashboard page appears.

  2. Drag and drop dashlets to create customized dashboard, and click Save.

    Note:Click to select a dashlet and swap the position.

    Click Disable to disable any of the dashlets.

  3. If you do not want to make any changes to the dashlets, click Cancel.
