Configuring mDNS Interfaces
Configuring mDNS Interfaces
On the Services > mDNS > Configure > Interface page, choose the interface for which you want to enable the mDNS gateway.
To configure downstream rules that include service lists and service rules that you can apply for all the downstream traffic on the interface, choose a downstream service list from the Down Stream Service List Name drop-down list.
To configure the upstream rules that include service lists and service rules that you can apply for all the upstream traffic on the interface, choose an upstream service list from the Upstream Service List Name drop-down list.
To redistribute services and service announcements, check the Redistribution check box, in the Interface Details section.
To configure the device as a designated gateway, choose the Self-Designated Gateway check box.
To apply proximity rules, choose the services that are filtered for proximity, in the Proximity Service List Active Query drop-down list.
Enter the maximum number of devices supported with a particular service type that are in proximity to the device. The valid range is between 1 and 100.
To configure service policy query periodicity for the interface, choose a service policy query. Set the periodicity with a value between 60 and 3600.
