Monitoring Application Visibility
Monitoring Application Visibility
Choose Monitoring > Services > Application Visibility to monitor policy that is defined on selected SSIDs. You can view the reports that are generated on each of the SSIDs on which application visibility is enabled. When application visibility is not configured on your device, this page does not display traffic charts.
To view and analyze the application visibility traffic:
On the Application Visibility page from the Source Type drop-down list, choose a source type as either Interface or SSID.
If the Source Type is chosen as SSID, then choose an SSID interface or ALL-SSID.
From the Direction drop-down list, choose the direction. You can choose to monitor only ingress, egress, or both ingress and egress traffic. To optimize the performance of the device, ensure that you monitor only relevant traffic.
From the Interval drop-down list, choose the duration for which you want to view application visibility traffic. You can choose to view up to 48 hours of data to analyze how bandwidth was used on your network.
To view bandwidth usage across applications in the SSID(s), click Applications. To view bandwidth usage for clients associated with the SSID, click Clients.
To clear AVC statistics, clickClear AVC. In the Clear AVC Stats window and Clear Stats By field, choose an appropriate value. Enter a MAC address and click Clear.
The cumulative data of the traffic for the selected SSIDs is displayed.
