Configuring High Throughput Settings

High throughput consists of parameters that are designed to improve the rate at which data is successfully delivered over a radio network.

Note: You must disable your radio networks before you configure high throughput. Clear the network status on the Configuration > Radio Configurations > Network page before you proceed.

On the Configuration > Radio Configurations > High Throughput page, you can configure the Wi-FI standard and the MCS rates.

Click 6 GHz Band, 5 GHz Band, or 2.4 GHz Band based on the radio for which you want to configure high throughput.

  1. Based on the radio selected, click on the required Wi-Fi standard to expand the available options:

    • For 5 GHz Radio

      • 11n: 802.11n

      • 11ac: 802.11ac

      • 11ax: 802.11ax

    • For 2.4 GHz Radio

      • 11n: 802.11n

      • 11ax: 802.11ax

Based on the Wi-Fi selected, select the enable check box to enable support on the network.

  2. Select the required check boxes to specify selected MCS rates. Select Select All check box to choose all the rates.

Data is transmitted between the access point and the client based on the modulation and coding scheme (MCS) rates. MCS is a specification of PHY parameters consisting of modulation order (BPSK, QPSK, 16-QAM, 64-QAM) and FEC code rate (1/2, 2/3, 3/4, 5/6).

  3. Click Apply to save the configuration.
