Use the commands listed below to understand which processes use excessive CPU and memory. To troubleshoot memory leaks on your device, run the commands every fifteen minutes and record the output for each command.
If you observe a steady increase in memory or CPU usage, contact Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC).

device#show memory detailed process iosd allocating-process totals | Displays detailed memory allocation for the IOSd service. |
device# show memory detailed process iosd lite-chunks totals | Displays detailed MallocLite information for the IOSd service. Use this command to understand which process is using the largest amount of memory allocated from all MallocLite pools. This helps identify the application that has the memory leak. |
device#show memory debug leaks detailed process iosd | Displays detailed debug information for the memory leak in the IOSd service. |
device#show process memory detailed process iosd sorted | Displays detailed memory allocation for the IOSd service, sorted by process. |
device# show process memory detailed process iosd maps | append flash: maps.txt | Displays detailed information memory region map information for the IOSd service. |
