Available Languages

Bias-Free Language

The documentation set for this product strives to use bias-free language. For the purposes of this documentation set, bias-free is defined as language that does not imply discrimination based on age, disability, gender, racial identity, ethnic identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and intersectionality. Exceptions may be present in the documentation due to language that is hardcoded in the user interfaces of the product software, language used based on RFP documentation, or language that is used by a referenced third-party product. Configuring System Logs

Configuring System Logs

  1. Choose Troubleshooting > Syslog.
  2. In the Syslog section, click Manage Syslog Servers. The Manage Syslog Configuration window is displayed.
  3. In the Log Level Settings section, choose the Syslog as Unconfigured, alerts, critical, debugging, emergencies, errors, informational, or notifications.
  4. Specify the severity level for logging messages to the device console and buffer. You can choose one of the following options:
    • Emergencies—Severity level 0
    • Alerts—Severity level 1
    • Critical—Severity level 2
    • Errors—Severity level 3 (default value)
    • Warnings—Severity level 4
    • Notifications—Severity level 5
    • Informational—Severity level 6
    • Debugging—Severity level 7
    • Disable—Disable console logging

    5. Note: If you set a logging level, only those messages whose severity is equal to or less than that level are logged by the controller. For example, if you set the logging level to Warnings (severity level 4), only those messages whose severity is between 0 and 4 are logged.

  5. In the IP Configuration section, enter the IP address of the server to which you want to send message logs.
  6. From the VRF Name drop-down list, choose a VRF name and click the + icon.

ClosedViewing Syslogs

The Syslog page enables you to view the message logs that have been captured by the controller, by the last to the first message. Each trap entry includes the system time, filename and line, message type and message.

Click Show Logs to view syslogs.

Optionally, you can click Clear Logs to clear the syslogs.

You also have the option to download the generated logs.
