Feature Description

SGSN does not trigger attach reject when HSS sends “DIAMETER_ERROR_UNKNOWN_EPS_SUBSCRIPTION” in Update Location Answer (ULA) without any "Error diagnostic".

21.4.10 and later releases, checking for error diagnostic value in ULA and sending of attach reject to mobile station can be enabled using CLI configuration.

Configuring Error Diagnostic Value

Use the following configuration to enable SGSN to skip checking the error diagnostic value check in ULA.

configure 
   call-control-profile profile_name 
      hss message ula-error-diagnostic-not-available  
      remove hss message ula-error-diagnostic-not-available  
      end

NOTES:

  • call-control-profile profile_name : Creates an instance of a call control profile. profile_name specifies the name of a call control profile entered as an alphanumeric string of 1 to 64 characters.

  • hss message : Configures the HSS message specific configurations.

  • ula-error-diagnostic-not-available : Configures SGSN to ignore error diagnostic check in decode diameter HSS message of ULA.

  • remove : Removes the configuration to skip checking the error diagnostic value check in ULA.
