When deploying the Ultra Gateway Platform (UGP) virtual network function (VNF) using the AutoVNF, VNF components (VNFCs) are defined through virtual descriptor units (VDUs) within the AutoVNF configuration file. This file also defines the networks the VNFCs attach to via network-catalogs. The VNFC VDUs are associated with the appropriate network-catalog through the infra-element-group construct also defined within the AutoVNF configuration file.
With this feature, a new parameter, called ip-allocation-pool, is available through the YANG-based configuration file that allows you to specify a block of fixed IP addresses within each network-catalog. VNFCs associated with the network-catalog are assigned a fixed address out of that block.
The syntax for the network-catalogs is as follows:
There are separate network-catalogs for each network type: Management, Orchestration, DI internal, and Service. The ip-allocation-pool parameter can be configured in each catalog based on your network requirements.
