Support of the 64K Certificate Trust List file
This release supports a 64K Certificate Trust List (CTL) file. The phone must use the size of CTL file that the communications system supports.

Installing Firmware Release 1.4(1)SR1 on Cisco Unified Communications Manager
Before using the Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7921G, 7925G, 7925G-EX, and 7926G with Cisco Unified Communications Manager, you must install the latest firmware on all Cisco Unified Communications Manager servers in the cluster.
Before You Begin
To make the Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7921G, 7925G, 7925G-EX, and 7926G available in the Cisco Unified Communications Manager system, you might need to upgrade your system with the latest DevPack patch for your release of Cisco Unified Communications Manager.
Check the Readme file that is posted with the firmware version 1.4(1)SR1 for more information:

For Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7921G, the Readme file is cmterm-7921-sccp.1-4-1SR1-Readme.html.
•
For Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925 and 7925G-EX, the Readme file is cmterm-7925-sccp.1-4-1SR1-Readme.html.
•
For Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7926G, the Readme file is cmterm-7926-sccp.1-4-1SR1-Readme.html.
To download and install the firmware, follow these steps:

Step 1
To access the firmware files, go to this URL:

Step 2
Choose Cisco Unified IP Phones 7900 Series.
Step 3
Choose Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7921G, Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G, or Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7926G.
Step 4
Choose Skinny Client Control Protocol (SCCP) Software.
Step 5
Choose 1.4(1)SR1 under the Latest Releases folder.

You must download the Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7921G, 7925G, 7925G-EX, and 7926G version 1.4(1)SR1 firmware image file from the software download center.

The Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7921G is supported with Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express 4.1 and later.
The Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G and 7925G-EX are supported with Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express 4.3 and later.

Installing the Bulk Deployment Utility for the Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7921G, 7925G, 7925G-EX, and 7926G
To install the Bulk Deployment utility, follow these steps:
Procedure
Step 1
To access the file, go to this URL:

Choose Cisco Unified IP Phones 7900 Series.
Step 3
Choose Cisco Unified IP Phone 7921G, Cisco Unified IP Phone 7925G, or Cisco Unified IP Phone 7926G.
Step 4
Download the 792xBD-1.0.exe file to the desired location.
Step 5
Double-click on the file to launch the install wizard.
Step 6
At the Welcome screen, click Next.
Step 7
Click Next to accept the default destination folder as the installation path.
Step 8
Click Install to start the installation.
Step 9
Click Finish when the installation has completed.
Installing the Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 792xG Configuration Utility Using the Wavelink Avalanche Server Console
To install the Cisco Wireless IP Phone 792xG Configuration utility, follow these steps:

Step 1

Choose Cisco Unified IP Phones 7900 Series.
Step 3
Choose Cisco Unified IP Phone 7921G, Cisco Unified IP Phone 7925G, or Cisco Unified IP Phone 7926G.
Step 4
Download the 7921CU-1.2.1.AVA or 7926CU-1.3.1.AVA file to a host that is accessible to the Avalanche Console.
Step 5
Launch the Avalanche Console and connect to an Avalanche agent.
Step 6
Select Software Management > Installing Software Package from the menu.
Step 7
Enter the path for the 7921CU-1.2.1.AVA, 7925CU-1.3.1.AVA, or 7926CU-1.3.1.AVA file.
Step 8
Click New, and enter the 7921CU-1.2.1.AVA, 7925CU-1.3.1.AVA, or 7926CU-1.3.1.AVA file name.
Step 9
Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 792xG Configuration Utility Requirement for Wavelink Server
For firmware release 1.4(1)SR1, Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7926G Configuration Utility version 1.3(1) or the Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7921G Configuration Utility version 1.2(1), depending on which model is used, is required for using the Wavelink Avalanche server to configure the phone.

Note
If you use the Wavelink Avalanche Management Console to configure your phone, be aware that the Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 792xG Configuration Utility (CU) version 1.3(1) is labeled as 7926G, but that CU works for the Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7921G, 7925G, 7925G-EX, and 7926G.

This product is not a medical device and uses an unlicensed frequency band that is susceptible to interference from other devices or equipment.
Increasing the Debug Level in Trace Settings Can Impact Voice Quality
Voice quality can be impaired when you set system log trace files for higher debug levels. Set only the modules that are required when capturing trace files for a phone.
USB Connection Disabled After Powering Off/On the Phone
If you power off the Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7921G, 7925G, 7925G-EX, and 7926G with the USB cable connected and then power it on again, the USB connection might fail.
To enable the USB connection, unplug the USB cable from the phone and then plug it back in.
Running Game MIDlets Can Impact Voice Quality
If you are running a game MIDlet in the background during an active call, audio on the call might get delayed or you might experience a drop in audio.
