Creating an Application Instance
To configure a new application in V2PC:
Step 1 Configure nodes as follows:
For Live: 5 centOS nodes as a minimum: AM, MCE, IPVS,MPE, IPVS
For VOD: 7 nodes as minimum: AM, MCE, IPVS,MPE, IPVS, HaProxy, Redis
For cDVR: 5 centOS nodes as a minimum AM, MCE, IPVS,MPE, IPVS and 3 coreOS nodes for platform instance (etcd, controller, and worker)
Step 2 Drag and drop a region from the right part of the screen to the center of the screen.
Step 3 From the navigation panel, choose Application Deployment Manager > Deployed Applications.
Step 4 Select Create New Application to create a new application instance. The Applications page opens.
Choose the desired application instance from the Package Name drop-down list and click Save.
Default application instances are available on the V2PC repository and are available directly from the GUI. Custom application instances may also be available if included in your V2PC deployment.
Step 5 Assign the created application to a region by dragging the application from the list of Applications and dropping to the desired Region.
Step 6 Specify the Instance Info and Instance Details using the wizard. To configure general application instance parameters, click the Add New icon. There may be additional configuration tabs, depending on the application instance type you selected.
Step 7 Specify the Name and Description, and then select the Platform Instance.
Step 8 On the Instance Details tab, specify the application instance details, including the Config Path and Image Flavor Info parameters.
Step 9 Click Save.
Note For the cisco-am, cisco-pe, and cisco-ce applications, you must configure the FQDN and other parameters such as the virtual IP address and interface.
Enabling and Disabling Applications
To enable an AIC, navigate to Application Deployment Manager > Deployed Applications, change the AIC Admin State to Enable, and click the Update icon.
To disable the AIC, simply change its Admin State to Disable and click the Update icon.
