Introduction

This document describes the new features, open caveats, and resolved caveats in the Deployer Release Cairo component of the Cloud DVR (cDVR) Solution.

Installation Requirements

The following is a list of installation requirements for Release Cairo.

  • IOPS limit requirement is 120K, for a full cDVR control plane, health, and analytics stack.

  • After the orchestration of Deployer Cairo, and before traffic steering to the new instance, you must execute the following file: cDVR Deployer Cairo Post Orchestration.zip. For details, contact Cisco Services.

New Features

The following is a list of new features for Release Cairo.

Deployer

  • Support for a Sharded or Unsharded database (required during PPS upgrade).

Analytics

  • Control plane visualizations are modified to query component specific index from default ‘logstash-*’ index.

  • Added new Kibana license check to verify Kibana xpack licence expiry date and send alert to Sensu.

PPS

  • Bulk delete enhanced by requiring only single session manager call for the entire operation.

  • PRB0045203: Set AutoDeleteDays for Keep Forever Recordings.

Caveats

This section includes open and resolved caveats for this release.

Open Caveats

The following is a list of open caveats in Release 18.3.2.

Orchestration

  • During control plane upgrade, control plane cleanup and Route 53 steering questions should be ignored ('n' should be used).

  • After a control plane upgrade, the exiting monitoring stack could lose node names if the node names are changed due to Active Directory integration requirements. This causes all health checks to report with the changed node names, instead of the defined nomenclature in cDVR deployments.

  • In Deployer Cairo, post orchestration procedure is required after upgrading the analytics stack and before steering to the new instance. For details, contact Cisco Services.

Resolved Caveats

The following is a list of resolved caveats in Release Cairo. This list is not intended to be comprehensive. It lists the resolved caveats that are relevant to the current Deployer release. The caveat ID can be searched in Cisco Customer Service Desk (https://vss.service-now.com), where you can find details about the caveat.

Alerting Bundle

Analytics

  • PPS parser change to solve “bytes” field conflict and declare dc name before adding custom index, while handling next line error.

Scheduler is sending recordings to the recording routers an hour late.

PRB0045663

Alert or retry on notification failure. The following lists the solutions:

  • A configurable delay is added between each retry.

  • The recording ID is added to the log that reports TMS messages that timed out.
