This section includes open and resolved caveats for this release.

Open Caveats

The following is a list of open caveats in Release 18.4.4.

  • During control plane upgrade, control plane cleanup and Route 53 steering questions should be ignored ('n' should be used).

  • After a control plane upgrade, the exiting monitoring stack could lose node names if the node names are changed due to Active Directory integration requirements. This causes all health checks to report with the changed node names, instead of the defined nomenclature in cDVR deployments.

  • In Deployer Erlangen, post orchestration procedure is required after upgrading the analytics stack and before steering to the new instance. For details, contact Cisco Services.

COS 3.22.3

  • After the COS 3.22.3 upgrade, the V2PC COS Service Status UI may not reflect the correct COS node version for all nodes. If this is the case, run the command service cos_aicc restart on the effected COS nodes to update the version information.

Resolved Caveats

There are no resolved caveats in Release 18.4.4. This list is not intended to be comprehensive. It lists the resolved caveats that are relevant to the current Deployer release. For a list of resolved caveats, refer to the individual release notes (Related Release Notes).

The caveat ID can be searched in the Synamedia Customer Service Desk (, where you can find details about the caveat.

  • PRB0046453 – PPS recurrence job is incorrectly booking the same event and the same start time more than once.

The resolution to this issue requires adding an additional query to Mongo. The result is a 6% increase in the transaction time. For a sample Recurrence Resolution job that takes 2 hours (2:00) based on current volumes, the new run-time for the Recurrence Resolution with the same volume is 2:06.

The first time the Recurrence Resolution job is executed after PPS 20.0.0-14 is in production, the Recurrence Resolution job will clean up the existing duplicate recordings. This first Recurrence Resolution job runs up to 76% longer than normal. For a sample Recurrence Resolution job that takes 2 hours (2:00) based on current volumes, this one-time or first-time run will last 3:31.
