Manage Videos, Comments, and Ownership

Find and Remove Comments
Procedure
Step 1
Choose Administration from the global navigation.
Step 2
Choose Manage > Global Controls > Comments and Abuse.
A table loads with all video comments.
Step 3
Find the comments that you want to remove.
- Browse — Use the pagination controls, as needed.
- Search — Search for specific words or phrases within the comments.
Step 4
To remove a single comment, do the following:
a.
Click the trash can icon
in the corresponding row.

Click OK.
Step 5
To remove multiple comments, do the following:
a.
Check the check boxes to choose multiple comments.

Click OK.
Find and Remove Videos
You might need to remove a video because it is obsolete or contains inappropriate or confidential material.
Procedure
Step 1
Choose Administration from the global navigation.
Step 2
Choose Manage > Global Controls > Manage Files.
A table of existing videos appears.
Step 3
Find the videos that you would like to remove.
- Browse — Use the pagination controls, as needed.
- Text Search — Search for videos that contain the search term in the title.
- Age Search—Search for videos that are older than the specified number of days.
Step 4
To remove a single video:
a.
Click the trash can icon
in the corresponding row.
b.
Click OK.
Step 5
To remove multiple videos:
a.
Use the check boxes to choose multiple files.

Click OK.
Bulk Video Ownership Transfer
Before You Begin
- You can transfer ownership of published, private, hidden, and draft videos. You cannot transfer ownership of live events.
- The bulk video ownership transfer feature is not available when using an iPhone or iPad device.
Procedure
Step 1
Choose Administration from the global navigation.
Step 2
Choose Manage > Content Transfer.
The Show and Share Content Transfer screen appears.
Step 3
Select a user to transfer video ownership from. You can use these tools:
- Filter—Filter by user status:

Deleted users are no longer present in the Show and Share community.
–
Inactive users without author privileges who no longer own their videos.
–
Active users with author privileges.
- Search — Use the search field to match a partial name, ID, or e-mail address.
- Browse — Use the pagination controls at the bottom of the page to browse through the list.
Step 4
To select the user, check the check box next to their name. Click Next.
Step 5
In the video transfer screen, select an active author to initiate the video transfer. Click Transfer.
A popup window appears that shows the number of videos in published and draft state that will be transferred to the new author. Click Yes to proceed with the transfer.
