IVP Operations Hub Features

Feature

Description

Support for multiple channel posters for a channel

Support has been implemented for exporting, importing and moving poster data to posters, as part of the migration of data into the Bootstrap UI.

Support for adding a poster for a VOD asset in Featured swimlane

Users can view posters based on language by selecting the asset in the grid and then scrolling through the posters in the right pane. When the language has been changed, the posters will change based on the selected language.

Users can add a new poster by clicking the Add Image button and completing all of the fields in the popup. You can edit the details of a poster by clicking on the top of the poster.

View offers associated to classification in curation UI

This feature allows the user to view the associated offers within the classification details view:

  • Select any category within the grid to view the details in the right pane.

  • Select the Associated Offers tab to view the associated offers for the classification/category (Id, Name and Type). Click the Id link to view details of the offer.

View channel policy in Channel UI

Channel policies can now be viewed in the Channel UI.

Ops Hub Framework: Secure Access using Vault

Online Video Platform Features

Feature

Description

Tune to a pay-per-view channel for an unauthorised user

VOD Playback Success

Service Providers can view a report on the availability of VOD streams.

OTT Live Service Available

Ability to measure the availability of the linear service over time as a contractual SLA metric. There are APIs to measure the linear service availablility, and the metrics and data are stored in Prometheus. The Calculation for KPI is also exposed.

VOD Service Available

Ability measure the availability of the VOD service over time as a contractual SLA metric. There are APIs to measure the VOD service availablility, and the metrics and data are stored in Prometheus. The Calculation for KPI is also exposed.

Mixed Swimlanes (VOD and Linear)

Service Providers have the ability to create manually curated mixed swimlanes that include VOD and Linear assets and channels:

  • Linear events and VOD assets are configured to be mapped to a UX content tile menu item in a swimlane.

  • The number of tile mappings per swimlane is configurable in Ops Hub.

  • When mapped, both entitled and unentitled content is displayed in the swimlane. For VOD, only the items in the user’s catalog is displayed.

  • The display order of the assets is explicitly determined by the operator (for example, do not apply sort rules).

  • Once an event has ended, it is automatically removed from the swimlane. For VOD, this is based on the availability window.

  • The minimum allowed number of valid assets per swimlane is configurable in Ops Hub; the default value is 5.

  • Retrieval of editorial events in REF API is now supported.

Asset Deletion through Ops Hub

Service Providers can delete VOD assets in OpsHub:

  • All instances of the same content will be deleted.

  • Physical content of each instance will be deleted.

  • Asset images are excluded and will not be deleted.

Enable Ops Hub support for VOD show and season curation

Service Providers have access to collapsed shows and seasons so they can curate VOD shows and seasons.

  • Ops Hub can retrieve collapsed shows and seasons when getting VOD classification members.

  • Ops Hub can retrieve list of seasons for specific VOD shows and list of assets for specific VOD seasons.

  • Ops Hub has the option of requesting classification, shows, and season members, filtered for a catalog.

Limiting binge content to the same content provider

The next episode shown in Binge is limited to that of the same content provider. When binge-watching is enabled, the next episode is selected from only the same provider as the already played episode. The provider is determined by provider id information ingested as part of the VOD ADI file (Provider_ID field).

If the next episode is not available from the same provider, the next episode is not available to the user.
