Configuring Event Management Settings

Procedure

Step 1

From the Navigation Pane, click Administration > Event Management.

Step 2

You can update the following properties:

Name

Description
Enable/Disable all Event Filters toggle button

Enable or disable all event filters at once. Use this to control alerts for all events.
Temperature Sensor Out of Range toggle button

Enable or disable alerts for temperature sensors reporting values outside the acceptable range.
Processor Presence toggle button

Enable or disable alerts for events related to the presence or status of the processor.
Voltage Sensor Out of Range toggle button

Enable or disable alerts for voltage sensors reporting values outside the acceptable range.
Watchdog Timer toggle button

Enable or disable alerts triggered by the watchdog timer. The watchdog timer monitors and resets the system during unresponsive states.

Step 3

Click Save settings.

Performing Cisco BMC 2.0 Factory Reset

The Cisco BMC 2.0 is temporarily unavailable during the reboot process.

Before you begin

Ensure that all necessary configurations and settings are documented or saved externally before performing the factory reset. This process restores the device to its default settings and removes all existing configurations.

Procedure

Step 1

From the Navigation Pane, click Administration > Utilities.

Step 2

Under Factory reset, click Restore.

The Cisco BMC 2.0 reboots, and the default settings are applied after the reboot.

Step 1

From the Navigation Pane, click Administration > Utilities.

Step 2

Under Reboot BMC, click Reboot BMC.

The Cisco BMC 2.0 is temporarily unavailable during the reboot process.
