Description of Changes in Release 5.6.21

For configuring DSP tone parameters, the following commands were added:

cnfgwparams -tone

Configures the Digital Signal Processor (DSP) tone parameters such as hangover and Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR).

dspgwparams -tone

Displays the Digital Signal Processor (DSP) tone parameters such as hangover and Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR).


For configuring VXSM automated switchover during agere queue failure, the following commands were added:

cnfgwparams -agere

Enables automated switchover during agere queue failure.

dspgwparams -agere

Displays the value of AgereSwFlag used for automated switchover during agere queue failure.


For configuring T.38 attributes that can be sent in the Session Description Protocol (SDP) response, the following commands were added:

cnfgwparams -t38params

Configures T.38 attributes that can be sent in the Session Description Protocol (SDP) response.

dspgwparams -t38params

Displays the value of t38Attr used to denote T.38 attributes that can be sent in the Session Description Protocol (SDP) response.


For collecting configuration on VXSM, the following commands were added:

debughelp -All

Displays all the information for the categorized groups.

debug -info

Displays information in categorized groups.

debughelp -Config

Displays debug information related to the VXSM card configuration.

debughelp -H248

Displays H248 protocol-specific information.

debughelp -MGCP

Displays the MGCP-specific information.

debughelp -PVC

Displays the PVC or line-level information.

debughelp -XUA

Displays information related to IUA and M3UA association.

debughelp -SS7

Displays the SS7 signaling information.

debughelp -SCTP

Displays SCTP related information

debughelp -CAS

Displays CAS related information.

debughelp - AAL2

Displays the AAL2 trunking related information.

debughelp -ANN

Displays announcements.

debughelp - DebugStats

Displays debugging statistics derived from the shell connection.


For capturing signaling messages on VXSM, the following commands were added:

debughelp -FileSigMsg

Captures in a server, signaling messages between VXSM and Cisco Media Gateway Controller (MGC), in the Processor Switch Module Hard Disk (PXM HD).

debughelp -FTPSigMsg

Captures in a server, signaling messages between VXSM and Cisco MGC, using FTP.


For enhanced bearer tracing on the basis of DS1/DS0, the following commands were modified:

addbearertraceendpt

Configures a new bearer trace session.


Objectives

The Cisco VXSM Configuration Guide and Command Reference provides information on the use and configuration of VXSM in both switching and nonswitching (trunking) applications.

Audience

The Cisco VXSM Configuration Guide and Command Reference is intended for experienced Cisco Media Gateway Switch (MGX) users who are involved with the installation and configuration of Cisco media gateway applications.
