Use these steps to install a virtual machine with a RHEL 8.x ISO file:

Procedure

1.

Download RHEL ISO image from Red Hat Customer Portal.

Note

You can download RHEL ISO image 8.9 for Cisco IoT FND release 5.0 and RHEL 9.5 ISO image for Cisco IoT FND Release 5.1.

2.

Install RHEL 8.x with ISO file. For more information on how to install RHEL 8.x ISO image, see Interactively installing RHEL from installation media.

3.

Create a VM using RHEL. For more information on how you can create a VM, see Installing Red Hat Enterprise Linux Virtual Machines.

4.

Boot the VM using the downloaded ISO image file. Example ISO file: rhel-8.5-x86_64-dvd.iso.
