Installing the ONS 15454 SDH Air Ramp Rack Mounting Brackets

This document provides installation procedures for installing mounting brackets on the ONS 15454 SDH Air Ramp shelf, to allow the shelf assembly to be installed in a 19 in. IEC rack (IEC-297-1), or 19/23 in. ANSI racks, and ETSI racks, as defined in ETS 300 119-1[2,3,4]. This Air Ramp mounting kit provides brackets and instructions to forward-mount (38 mm from front) the ONS 15454 SDH Air Ramp. Use this document in conjunction with the Cisco ONS 15454 SDH Procedure Guide.

Air Ramp Kit
The Air Ramp rack mounting kit for the ONS 15454 SDH shelf includes the following items.
•
19/23 in. brackets (2)
•
Pan Head M4.0 x 8mm mounting screws (2)
Install the Mounting Brackets
Step 1
Verify the rack type for your air ramp installation. The brackets in this kit are compatible with the following racks.
•
19in racks as defined in IEC 297-1(2)
•
19 in. or 23 in. ANSI racks as defined in ETS 300 119-1 (2,3,4)
•
19 in. ETSI racks as defined in ETS 300 119-1 (2,3,4)
Step 2
Align the mounting bracket screw holes against the shelf assembly screw holes according to Figure 1. The bracket mounting holes will align with the forward-most mounting holes on the air ramp. When aligned properly the mounting flange will be 38 mm from the front edge of the air ramp.
Step 3
Insert the screws (2 places) as shown in Figure 1 and tighten.
Step 4
Repeat for the other side of the assembly.
