The documentation set for this product strives to use bias-free language. For the purposes of this documentation set, bias-free is defined as language that does not imply discrimination based on age, disability, gender, racial identity, ethnic identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and intersectionality. Exceptions may be present in the documentation due to language that is hardcoded in the user interfaces of the product software, language used based on RFP documentation, or language that is used by a referenced third-party product. The Cisco WAE (WAN Automation Engine) Coordinated Maintenance application has the following prerequisites.
Take note of the archive path configured for the archive_init -archive
and archive_insert -archive
tools, as well as the archive name configured using archive_config -name
. If you set the time zone for the archive insertions ( archive_insert -time-zone
), take note of this UTC offset as well. You need this information to properly configure Coordinated Maintenance.
Note The demands are used as historical data for evaluating events. Therefore, the precision of the demand mesh used by Demand Deduction is critical to the accuracy of the evaluations. The quality of the model is directly related to how useful the application is. For instance, if the demand traffic shows one or more circuits are over utilized all the time, then the plan file will never pass an evaluation.
This template can be created in one of two ways.
– Use the copy_from_template
tool in the snapshot collection process. For information on the copy_from_template
tool, access its help ( copy_from_template -help
).
– If using the WAE Live Map, configure the Map Archive on the WAE Live Settings > General Settings page. WAE Live automatically generates the template in this location once configured from here, but you need to take note of the Map archive path and network name. You need this information to properly configure WAE Coordinated Maintenance to use a WAE Live topology for templates. For information, see the WAE Live Administration Guide.
Note The topology template must be well maintained on a regular basis such that it accurately represents the “as-built” network. Best practice is to use the WAE Live Map archive.
