This document contains the following information about Cisco Evolved Programmable Network Manager MP4 (Cisco EPN Manager 2.0.4):
Functionality Added in Cisco EPN Manager 2.0.4
- Ability to launch the Optical Interfaces dashboard from the Circuit 360 view. The interface filter lists only the interfaces traversed by the selected circuit.
- Ability to create and provision two mutually diverse OCH Trail UNI circuits at the same time.
- User management for NCS 2000 device users - ability to control network access by adding/deleting users and viewing and controlling active sessions.
- Configuration and visualization of Cisco NCS 2000 and ONS 15454 devices directly from the chassis view. The configuration includes:
– General settings such as node name, alias, location, synchronization time, system mode, and cooling profile.
– Network settings such as configuring IPv6, DHCP, and gateway settings.
– Security settings such as user credentials to log into the device.
– Origination and termination patchcords.
– Protection group for a shelf in a device
- Ability to add, delete, reset, and configure cards in Cisco NCS 2000 and Cisco ONS devices from the chassis view. Configuration includes card operating modes, peer card and peer skip card values, and payload values for pluggable ports.
- Representation of port names for Cisco NCS 2000 devices is now compatible with CTC port naming.
A-side and Z-side endpoints of circuits/VCs are now shown in the Circuit Details view. In circuit tables, users can sort by A- or Z-side endpoints.
- Multilayer trace support for end-to-end ODU circuits using NCS2000 NID and ODU2 over NCS 4000 devices.
- RFS and CFS retrieval for end-to-end ODU circuits using NCS2000 NID and ODU2 over NCS 4000 devices.
- Multilayer trace support for working and protection paths.
- CFS provision result as part of CFS retrieval.
- Mutual Diversity for OCHTrail UNI.
- Support for LOGO attributes, association between uni and bi-directional links, operational state for topological link.
- Grouping hierarchy support for devices
- Notifications data improvements - AVC for topological links.
- Initial integration with Cisco Network Planner (CNP) for OTN/DWDM. Please contact your Cisco sales representative for further information about CNP.

Important Notes
Required User Role Settings
NBI permissions must be set for Super User, Config Manager, Admin, and System Monitoring users to ensure optimal functioning when performing the following actions:
To set NBI permissions for users, go to Administration > Users > Users, Roles & AAA > Users and do the following for each user:
1. Click on the user name link.
2. In the User Details page, under Groups Assigned to this User, select the NBI Read and NBI Write check boxes.
Reconciliation Report Limitations
When provisioning a service, if you have not provided a value for any of the attributes, the provisioned value for those attributes will be displayed as “Missing” in the reconciliation report. The device may have default values for these attributes but Cisco EPN Manager does not have any values configured.
Cisco EPN Manager Bugs
Open Bugs
Table 1 lists the open bugs in Cisco EPN Manager Release 2.0.4 according to the following criteria:

Resolved Bugs
Table 2 lists bugs that have been resolved since the last release. Specifically, it lists bugs that were listed as open bugs in the Cisco EPN Manager 2.0.3 release notes that have been resolved in Cisco EPN Manager 2.0.4.

Get Information About Cisco EPN Manager Bugs
Use the Bug Search tool (BST) to get the latest information about Cisco EPN Manager bugs. BST allows partners and customers to search for software bugs based on product, release, and keyword, and it aggregates key data such as bug details, product, and version.
Cisco EPN Manager bugs may be caused by defects in a device's platform or operating system. In those cases, the Cisco EPN Manager bug will be resolved when the hardware/operating system bug is resolved.
Step 1 Log into the Bug Search Tool.
a. Go to https://tools.cisco.com/bugsearch/ .
b. At the Log In screen, enter your registered Cisco.com username and password; then, click Log In .
Note If you do not have a Cisco.com username and password, you can register for them at http://tools.cisco.com/RPF/register/register.do.
Step 2 To list all bugs for this version, click the Select from list hyperlink that is next to the Product field and select the product.
a. Choose Cloud and Systems Management > Routing and Switching Management > Cisco Evolved Programmable Network (EPN) Manager and then select the required product version.
b. When the results are displayed, use the filter and sort tools to find bugs according to their status, severity, how recently they were modified, if any support cases are associated with them, and so forth.
You can also search using bug IDs or keywords. For more information, click Help at the top right of the Bug Search page.
