This chapter describes the tasks you must perform to install and uninstall CiscoWorks Integration Utility.

Software Requirements
You must run one of these operating systems:
On Unix:
•
Solaris 10
On Windows:
•
Windows 2008 Standard Edition Release 1 with SP1 and SP2
•
Windows 2008 Enterprise Edition Release 1 with SP1 and SP2
•
Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Edition
•
Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Edition with SP1
Hardware Requirements
•
Memory (RAM): 256 MB
•
Space required: 300 MB (This includes the space required to extract the NMIDB package)
Supported Network Management Systems
Table 2-1 lists the Network Management Systems (NMS) supported by Integration Utility 1.10.
Installing Integration Utility
The Integration Utility 1.10 is part of the LMS 4.0 product DVD. You can install Integration Utility 1.10 as a standlone product on your system. Run the setup.exe file from SystemDrive:\disk1\install\NMIM\setup.exe.
Installation Notes
Before you begin installing Integration Utility, ensure that you:
•
Have administrator privileges to install the product.
•
Install the Integration Utility on the same machine as your third-party NMS.
Installation Instructions
You can install the Integration Utility using either the Typical or Custom modes of installation.

User Inputs During Installation
At the end of Custom installation of Integration Utility, you are prompted to integrate the utility with the NMS.
You can select either:
•
Integrate Now
Or
•
Integrate Later
You are prompted to enter the following information if you choose the Integrate Now option:
•
NM adapter to use for integration.
•
CiscoWorks Server details to reach CiscoView from NMS map (standalone only)
–
CiscoWorks Server name
–
Port
–
Protocol (HTTP or HTTPS)
•
Option to get NMIDB updates from Cisco.com (Yes or No)
•
Cisco.com login and password for updating NMIDB (Optional)
•
Default browser path to launch LMS applications

If you select the Integrate Later option, you must enter these information when you start to integrate the LMS applications with the third party Network Management Systems.
Uninstalling Integration Utility
You can uninstall Integration Utility along with other LMS applications.
