Configures an external bridge group profile and associates regular SVIs with the profile so that the SVIs can use different access encapsulations.

Before you begin

Create the regular SVIs and configure the leaf switches with the required access encapsulations. For instructions, see Configure SVI external encapsulation scope using the GUI.

Use an external bridge group profile to group regular SVIs that have different access encapsulations.

Procedure

  1. Create an external bridge group profile:

    1. Navigate to Tenants > tenant-name > Policies > Protocol > External Bridge Group Profiles.

The configured external bridge group profiles appear in the work pane.

    2. Right-click External Bridge Group Profiles, and choose Create External Bridge Group Profile.

The Create External Bridge Group Profile page opens.

    3. In the Name field, enter a name for the profile, and click Submit.

The new external bridge group profile appears in the work pane.

  2. Associate a regular SVI with the external bridge group profile:

    1. Navigate to Tenants > tenant-name > Networking > L3Outs > l3out-name > Logical Node Profiles > logical-node-profile-name > Logical Interface Profiles > logical-interface-profile-name.

The General page for the logical interface profile opens.

    2. Click the SVI tab.

The configured SVIs appear in the work pane.

    3. Double-click the SVI that you want to associate with the profile.

The properties for the SVI appear.

    4. From the External Bridge Group Profile drop-down list, choose the external bridge group profile.
    5. Click Submit.

The regular SVI is associated with the external bridge group profile. Repeat the association step for each SVI that you want to include in the group.
