With Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise (UCCE) 7.x, when trying to delete an agent from Cisco Intelligent Contact Management (ICM), the Failed to update the database error message appears. This document describes how to troubleshoot this issue.

The error message Failed to update the database appears when trying to delete an agent from the ICM database.
Disable the Application Object Filter in order to resolve this problem.
Complete these steps:
On an Admin Workstation, launch Configuration Manager.
Choose Options > Application Object Filter.
Enter the password when prompted.
Choose Disable.
If you receive the same error when trying to re-add a deleted agent, make sure that the agent is permanently deleted from the Deleted Objects Person List Miscellaneous Tools > Deleted Objects. Refer to Failure to Add a New Agent to Cisco ICM - Violation of UNIQUE KEY Constraint for more information.
