This document describes an issue seen with Microsoft Outlook 2013 clients when they make Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) connections to Unity Connection in order to view voicemail.
When you use Outlook 2013 to make an IMAP connection to Unity Connection, high CPU might be reported on Unity Connection.
Look for this line in the IMAP traces:
Request: xuf2 UID SEARCH UID 45:4294967295 SINCE
First, check to see if KB2837618 is installed on the PC which runs Outlook 2013. If this is installed on the PC, uninstall the patch and restart the computer.
Once you have uninstalled the patch from all Outlook 2013 clients that make an IMAP connection to Unity Connection, the CPU on Unity Connection should drop.
This issue is tracked with Cisco bug ID CSCul49976, UID SEARCH UID command causes high CPU usage in Unity Connection.
