This article explains about how to get started on AP541N Dual Band Single Radio Access Point.

Step 1. Use the Access Point Configuration Utility and choose Getting Started. The Getting Started page opens:
Note: By default Getting Started is the home page of the configuration utility of the AP.
Step 2. Under the Quick Configuration area choose any of the following four options:
• Change Administrator Password — Click on this to navigate to the Administrator page where the administrator information like name and password can be changed. For detailed instructions refer to the article Administrator Information on AP541N Access Points.
• Configure Wireless Networks (SSIDs) — Click on this to navigate to the Wireless Network Setup (VAPs) page where Virtual Access Points(VAPs) can be added, edited or deleted. For detailed instructions refer to the article Virtual Access Point (VAP) Configuration on an AP541N Access Point.
• Enable Wireless Radio — Click on this to navigate to the Wireless Radio Settings page where radio settings like mode and channel can be modified. For detailed instructions refer to the article Wireless Radio Settings on AP541N Access Points.
• Set LAN IP Address (optional) — Click on this to navigate to the LAN settings page where Internal Interface Settings can be modified. For detailed instructions refer to the article LAN Settings on AP541N Access Points.
Step 3. Under the Management area choose any of the following four options:
• Wireless Client Associations — Click on this to navigate to the Associated Clients page where the associated stations, packets transmitted and received for each station are displayed. For detailed instructions refer to the article View Associated Client Information on the AP541N Access Point.
• System Information — Click on this to navigate to the Device Information page which has information about the product, hardware and software details of the device. For detailed instructions refer to the article Device Information on AP541N Access Point.
• Software upgrade — Click to go to the Software Upgrade page where the device firmware can be updated to the available newer versions using TFTP or HTTP. For detailed instructions refer to the article Firmware Upgrade on AP541N Access Point.
• Backup/Restore Configuration — Click this to go to the AP Configuration page which has options to reset the device to factory defaults, save and restore configuration back to a previously saved settings and to reboot the device. For detailed instructions refer to the article Backup, Restore, and Reboot Settings on AP541N Access Points.
Step 4. Under the Help area, choose any of the following options:
• Download Software from Cisco.com — Click here to go to Cisco.com Download Software page. You may need an active internet connection and cisco login credentials to access the page.
• Device Help — Click here to open the Table of Contents window which has a list of all help files of the device.
• Online Help at Cisco.com — Click here to go to the Cisco.com online help page.
