DHCP snooping is a technique which provides extra security. To do this, DHCP snoopiong drops the untrusted DHCP packets and also builds a DHCP snooping binding table. A packet is classified as untrusted when it is received from outside the network or firewall which could cause traffic attacks on you network. An untrusted interface is an interface which is allowed to receive those untrusted packets, while trusted interfaces are allowed to receive only trusted packets.
