Idle Session Timeout Configuration on ESW2-350G Switches

Objectives

This document explains how to configure the idle session timeout for sessions like console, telnet, HTTP on ESW2-350G switch. This feature helps the network administrator to close certain ports after a certain period of time of inactivity, thus adds a security feature by not allowing illegitimate users to gain access over open unattended sessions. This will help in preventing security attacks like "session hijack".
