This document explains how to allow or block any service traffic based on the specific schedule if the request originates from a specific machine. The article explains how users can be denied on the basis of IP Addresses.The schedules can be made on the basis of any day or time.The IP addresses that are allowed or denied can be a specific range or any specific IP address.

Step 1. At the Router Configuration Utility choose Firewall > Access Rules. The Access Rules page opens:
Step 2. Choose a policy to define a default outbound policy .
• Allow — Permits any service traffic from your LAN to the Internet.
• Block — Does not permit any service traffic from your LAN to the Internet.
Note:The Default Outbound Policy applies to traffic that is not covered by the specific firewall rules that you have configured.
Step 3. Click Add Rule to add an access rule and the following Access Rules page opens:
Step 4. Choose a connection type from the Connection Type drop-down list.
• Inbound — Service Traffic from the Internet(WAN)to your Network(LAN).
• Outbound — Service Traffic from the local network(LAN) to your internet(WAN).
Step 5. Choose Allow by Schedule or Block by Schedule from the Action drop-down list .
Step 6. Click Configure Schedules to define a schedule and the Schedule page opens:
Step 7. Click Add to add a schedule.
Step 8. Enter the schedule name (e.g. Weekend, Holiday..etc.) in the Name field.
Step 9. Under Time field, check All Day (so that any service traffic can be blocked or allowed for whole day not for specific hours or minutes) or choose specific hours and minutes.
Note: According to the first image, the firewall blocks any service traffic throughout the whole day.
Step 10. In the Repeat field, leave Everyday unchecked if you want to choose specific days.
Step 11. Check the days you want to block or allow the service traffic.
Step 12. Click Save to save the schedule and the following page opens:
Step 13. Check the checkbox next to the schedule you implemented and then click Add to add the schedule.
Step 14. Choose the schedule from the Schedule drop-down list.
Step 15. Choose a service from the Service drop-down list.
Step 16. Choose an option from the Source IP drop-down list.
• Any — The rule applies to the traffic originating from any IP address in the local network.
• Single Address —The rule applies to traffic originating from a single IP address in the local network. Enter the address in the Start field.
• Address Range —The rule applies to traffic originating from an IP address located in a range of addresses. Enter the starting IP address in the Start field, and the ending IP address in the Finish field.
Step 17 . Choose an option from the Destination IP drop-down list.
• Any — The rule applies to traffic going to any address.
• Single Address — The rule applies to traffic going to a single IP address. Enter the address in the Start field.
•Address Range — The rule applies to traffic going to an IP address located in a range of addresses. Enter the starting IP address in the Start field, and the ending IP address in the Finish field.
Step 18. Choose Enabled from the Rule Status drop-down list.
Step 19. Click Save to save the Access Rule.
